Torch Relay for Children's Miracle Network
A Fun and Engaging Way to Support our Philanthropy

Each year, Phi Mu chapters across the country look for ways to generate significant support for Phi Mu’s philanthropy, Children’s Miracle Network. A relatively new idea to consider is the Torch Relay.

Held in the fall, the Torch Relay for Children’s Miracle Network is an exciting multi-day event in which participants walk between 3 and 15 miles, run between 5 and 10 miles or cycle as much as 110 miles. Every segment is supported by a team of trained volunteers who travel with the participants.

All funds raised from the Torch Relay support the local children’s hospital. “The Torch Relay for Children’s Miracle Network is a simple and fun way to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network,” said Becky McKenzie, ΕΓ, Vice President of Philanthropy. “All of the planning is done. Just set up your team, recruit team members, send out your donation
requests; then show up, walk and have fun with your sisters!”

To start a team, simply:

• Go to www.torch-relay.org and select the “register” button.
• Choose to join as a team (be sure Phi Mu and your chapter name are in your team title).
• Select the city and event where you will participate.
• Enter your information and pay a $15 registration fee.
• Use the online tools to assist you in fundraising.

Fundraising tip: Be sure to turn in all fundraising dollars promptly. Children’s Miracle
